RIDING ABROAD
Since starting the channel, every holiday I’ve gone abroad I’ve managed to find a smidge of time to go for a quick ride. It’s be rude not to eh?
It’s not always worked out the best but a ride’s a ride I suppose.
SPAIN 🇪🇸
SAN ANOTNIO BAY, IBIZA
Still very early days of the channel. I rent a chunky eMTB which didn’t exactly work out amazing but it was still a nice gentle stroll along the sunny coast line.
MALTA 🇲🇹
NORTH EAST COAST
My first ride on an eFAT Bike. I rented it from the lovely Los Arditos. Again, things didn’t go very well but it was still lovely to see this beautiful island from a stunning look out point.
PORTUGAL 🇵🇹
TAVIRA, ALGARVE
My first ride on a Trek Powerfly. It’s a solid bit of kit, and although not as tanky as my ONE77, I have a super chilled bit of exploring through the hills of Tavira. Vineyards, mountains, a random bar. Spot on.
NOTHING BUT CANALs
I love canals. There’s something incredibly peaceful and mysterious about them that I can’t quite put my finger on. In my attempt to understand them better, I want to see them all.
Over the coming years, I want to ride across every single mile of rideable canal towpath in England. Below you can look through my journey so far.
